Peter James Gardner

1954-1998

Peter was born on 6th January 1954 in Carshalton, Surrey. He married Elaine Veronica Cannon on 2nd February 1974 at Trinity Methodist Church, Sarum Hill, Basingstoke. On 29th January 1978 his daughter Alison was born.

He served with the RAF Police for 5 years and 10 months being discharged on 5th November 1976.

Peter joined Hampshire Constabulary on 11th October 1978 as Police Constable 964. At the time he was a salesman for Chamade Ltd, 26 West Street, Horsham and was living at 119 Borodin Close, Brighton Hill, Basingstoke.

He served at Alton, ‘A’ (DHQ)(Alton)(Process Unit), Mid Hants DHQ Process Unit Alton, Mid Hants DHQ Alton Crime Prevention and finally Northern DHQ Basingstoke Crime Prevention.

Peter resigned on 30th November 1985. He died on 20th August 1998.
