Nympha Antoinette Ashbolt

1966-2004

Nympha was born on 13th April 1966 and died on 14th June 2004 aged just 37.
She married Ian A Ashbolt in June 2000 in Winchester.

Nympha was Chief Officer of Hampshire Special Constabulary and served as a Special between 29th March 1993 and 14th June 2004, giving more than 1,000 hours of her own time to volunteering.

The Nympha Ashbolt Special Award was first made two years ago in memory of its namesake who was a Special Constable, a champion of volunteering and had the original idea for the ‘Volunteer of the Year Awards’.
