1924 – Lloyds bank manager Mr William Hall of the Bordon sub-branch is shot dead during the course of a robbery when £500 in cash was stolen. Lance Corporal Abraham (Jack) Goldenberg from a nearby army camp is charged with murder, convicted and sentenced to death
